A 28-year old woman was attacked by a shark in Cocoa Beach on Sunday, while she was wading in about waist deep water. The type of shark is unknown, but most likely, a Blacktip, Spinner, or Bull, which are frequently seen along Florida beaches.
The woman managed to punch the shark before calling for help and heading to shore. She sustained a minor injury to her hand (from punching the shark) and much more serious injuries to her leg which required hospitalization.
