Kip Clayton was on an early morning walk when he spotted the shark thrashing on the sand in the surf. He and another gentlemen tried pushing it out into the water, but it was, apparently, too sick and weak to make it.  The shark was later removed.

Although quite sad, this is not uncommon to find this species of shark beached.
